Job title: Technical Writer & Marketing Support
Location: Bloomington, MN (ON SITE)
Pay range: $38 - 45/hour on W2.
Duration: Contract to Perm
Shift Time: Monday to Friday 08AM to 05PM
Job Description:
We are seeking a Technical Writer who has experience and demonstrated ability to create and maintain various types of user documentation, including technical instruction manuals, specification data sheets and guides, creative marketing and promotional content.
Develop, write and edit material for instruction manuals, specification data sheets, product catalogs, and other technical publications, according to set style guides
Perform document layout and desktop publishing
Produce drawings, diagrams, and tables for illustrative purposes
Work collaboratively with developers, approval engineers, product managers, and other subject matter experts
Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by others, to ensure technical accuracy and adherence to brand standards
Conduct interdepartmental document reviews
Maintain literature on web site and customer portals
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Journalism, or Technical Writing
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years in a technical writing role
Knowledge and experience with desktop publishing software including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders to influence others in a diverse and dynamic work environment
Good communications skills, and open attitude for continuous improvement
Strong attention to detail
Proven organizational skills with the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks to completion
Demonstrated leadership abilities with project management skills
Technical knowledge and a solid grasp of technical terminology
