Job Title: ArcSight System Administrator

JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking an experienced ArcSight System Administrator to join our team and support ongoing system transitions. This is a contract position that could last 6 months to 1-2 years. You will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining ArcSight SIM, which is responsible for monitoring 6,000+ users and generating alerts for suspicious activities across the environment. In this role, you will work closely with the existing architect to manage ArcSight’s security monitoring and log management components. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting, vulnerability remediation, and system updates. This role is ideal for candidates with deep expertise in ArcSight, and the flexibility to adapt in a fast-changing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and monitor ArcSight ESM (Event Security Management) and Logger (log management component).
- Utilize ArcMC (Management Console) to monitor and manage software connectors.
- Investigate and respond to security alerts and suspicious activity.
- Perform vulnerability remediation and system troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with the current architect on system transitions and ArcSight operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Hands-on experience with ArcSight ESM, Logger, and ArcMC.
- Experience with Linux environments and the Linux command line.
- Understanding of security monitoring and alert management.
- Ability to troubleshoot and remediate system vulnerabilities.
- Flexible experience requirements—open to both junior and senior candidates who have relevant ArcSight experience.
- Background as a System Administrator working with ArcSight.
- Experience in environments with 6,000+ users, 1 ESM, 12 loggers, and 20+ connectors.
- US Citizenship required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a 6C Clearance.
