Senior Electronics Lab Technician

Our client manufactures world-class robotic machines that bring computer chips to the masses. Our client uses cutting-edge technology to allow customers to reduce the size and functionality of their microchips which in turn leads to more powerful consumer electronics.
We are searching for an Electronics Lab Technician to support the Design and Engineering team regarding lab space and equipment management, their safety, usage/use rate, calibration & maintenance. A key aspect of this role will be assisting in the safety assessment, documentation, and compliance checking of the lab equipment.
This is a 12-month contract that has the ability to convert to full time. This is a 1st shift role (8/8:30am to 5/5:30pm).
Responsibilities:
- Review the safety requirements of lab equipment.
- Analyze new equipment and process changes.
- Support the electrical and mechanical safety assessments of lab equipment
- Support document collection and creation for lab equipment based on safety assessments.
- Write, review and communicate lab equipment documentation, including but not limited to: block diagrams, circuit diagrams, user manuals, test plans.
- Tracking of lab equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Support storage and distribution of lab equipment.
- Align on lab space utilization and organizational needs, processes, and planning.
- Support lab space safety processes.
- Determine process changes that will help streamline work methods
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Associates Degree preferred
- 4+ years of professional experience
- Design, realization and utilization of lab equipment in/on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with broad technical knowledge of mechanical and mechatronic systems.
- Working knowledge of the 5S methodology is a huge plus!
- Ability to write clear and detailed process documents.
- Proficient experience with Microsoft products such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, SharePoint knowledge is a plus.

- Experience with Soldering is a MUST
- Electronic and circuit analysis understanding
- Ability to build out circuit assembly
- Wire cables and connectors
- Use of an Oscilloscope
- Use of a multimeter
- Some planning and coordination with user group and requests that come in
