Our client is seeking a Fractional Chief Operating Officer to partner with the Executive Management Team in establishing long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies. The COO will be responsible for designing and implementing these policies to promote the company culture and vision while overseeing operations to ensure the business remains on track.
What you will do:
- Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.
- Implement strategies and oversee the execution of plans to attain short and long-term financial and mission-critical operational goals.
- Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met.
- Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Executive Team as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
- Drive the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, and business goals and objectives.
- Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
- Collaborate with the Executive Management Team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the company’s growth objectives.
- Motivate and lead a high-performance management team; oversee daily operations of the company while fostering a success-oriented, accountable environment.
- Bring a fresh perspective and ideas for managing costs and driving revenue and profitability.
- Manage subordinate business unit supervisors across multiple locations and functions; hold responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
- Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
- Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively, in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer, to ensure the company achieves investor targets for growth and profitability.
- Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances, etc.)
- Collaborate with the CEO to create and develop key metrics and KPIs for the growth of the company.
- Maintain a healthy work environment and ensure sound policies and procedures are in place.
- Ensure adherence to general safety rules, procedures, and regulations.
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, with a preferred concentration in healthcare or relative industry experience.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in a VP or higher-level position managing one or more major business functions (e.g., operations, business development, etc.)
- 15 years of comprehensive knowledge of industry and industry-related trends and forecasts, i.e., healthcare, retail or health and beauty.
- Experience in a multi-state environment
- Experience working in a fast-paced retail/healthcare environment
