Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team and support our Combat Vehicle and Naval Guns Product Lines. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals to design and develop advanced systems that enhance military capabilities and ensure national security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and management of system requirements.
- Analyze and derive subsystem and component performance specifications.
- Develop and maintain requirements verification and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate and facilitate architecture development for assigned systems, subsystems, and components.
- Support the creation and maintenance of interface requirements and design information.
- Document concept design decisions and generate System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs).
- Conduct trade studies and formal decision-making processes to inform design choices.
- Monitor and support cost, schedule, and risk management efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence design and system integration.
- Participate in program milestone reviews and vehicle-level systems engineering activities.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in requirements analysis, derivation, and allocation.
- Strong understanding of architecture concepts and evaluation of alternatives.
- Ability to balance system design with performance, constraints, and logistics.
- Proficiency in generating System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or Electrical Engineering, with a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering.
- Experience with military vehicle systems.
- Familiarity with logical architecture development and use case creation.
- Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including SysML methodology and tools (e.g., Cameo).
- Understanding of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
- Experience with the DOORS requirements management tool.
- INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
