We are ready to add a new employee to the team. We are open to making this a Full-Time or Part-Time position provided the hours covered are afternoon/evening. (Scroll towards the bottom of this ad to see proposed hours as there is some small flexibility with the shift time if we find the right candidate.)

Position Purpose:
To assure the correct raw plastic material is loaded into the correct machine, that the material is correctly blended, that the material is correctly dried, and that all opportunities for material contamination are eliminated. To keep work stations and auxiliary equipment clean and orderly. To support mold technicians to assure that mold/color changes are completed efficiently and correctly, and that downtime does not result from material and auxiliary equipment issues. To assist QC with sample collection and clearing product from production lines. To assist with various cleaning and PM activities to ensure equipment is properly maintained.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks (Training is Provided):
1. Perform work conforming to Work Instruction WI-7-10. This includes a detailed understanding of work orders, labels, material identification and traceability logs, lot codes, and FIFO.
2. Perform work in a safe manner conforming to appropriate requirements for: PPE, lock-out/tag-out, manual lifting techniques, MSDS, tripping/slipping hazards, and machine and work cell specific safety training.
3. Introduce the correct materials into production both for mold/material changes and for ongoing runs, ensuring all risks of material contamination are avoided and eliminated.
4. Clean grinders, hoppers, loaders, material conveying hoses/pipes, etc to ensure contaminate-free product.
5. Clean filters, screens, etc. to ensure material is properly drying and conveying.
6. Set, program, and load dryers so that zero downtime results from wet material.
7. Perform work cell set-ups and teardowns including equipment placement, scrap segregation and collection, WIP regrind, and material blending. Ensure “Lights Out” work cells are set up for success.
8. Assist in keeping the work cells supplied with empty containers, material kitting items, cleaning supplies, etc.
9. Complete all paperwork and traceability logs accurately and timely including traceability and PM records.
10. Cover operator jobs during breaks so that machines do not have to be shut down.
11. Assist QC with sample collection, basic measurements, and clearing product from production lines as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma and at least 2 years proven experience in related field. Must be able to read/write/speak English. Must pass Color Blind Test, and perform acceptably on written assessment and practical evaluation. Must pass extensive drug screen and background check. Must complete the Conditions of Employment orientation. Must have basic computer skills.
Preferences:
Experience with regulated/ISO environment. Manufacturing-related experience. Trade school or associates degree will facilitate advancement and higher levels of training/compensation over shorter time.
Essential Mental Functions:
Able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate ratios and percentages, memorize information about plastic materials relevant to the job. Able to read and write numbers, letters, and words accurately in the correct order.
Essential Physical Functions:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must stand for eight hours. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have 20/20 corrected vision.
Equipment Used: Manual/Electric Pallet Jacks, Vacuum, Compressed Air, Basic Hand Tools, Calipers, Scales. GreenLeaf will train and certify you on the fork lift.
General Business and Shift Information:
GreenLeaf Hours of Operation: (M-TH) 5:30 AM – 11:00 PM; (F) 6:30 AM – 9:30 PM
- 1st Shift: Full Time: M-TH 6:45 AM - 4:00 PM, (F) 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- 1st Shift: Part Time: M-TH 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (This position receives no benefits)
- 2nd Shift, Full Time: (M-TH) 12:45 PM - 10:00 PM; (F) 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- 2nd Shift, Part Time: (M-TH) 2:00PM – 10:00 PM (This position receives no benefits)
- During Shutdown and on certain days, all employees work approx. 7am – 3pm.
Pay Rate: $22 - $25 per hour depending on experience and job history.
