We are currently seeking a talented Senior Account Executive to join our team.
Position Overview:
As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Honda Corporate Communications. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a collaborative environment, working closely with both clients and agency team members to shape and execute high-impact PR strategies and social media content. In this hands-on role, you will provide strategic PR counsel, create top-tier communications materials, and secure high-quality media placements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic PR Planning: Develop tailored communication plans and help shape client strategies and storytelling, offering insights on messaging, pitch lists and media engagement, as well as crisis communication and reputation management.
- PR Writing: Research, craft and refine high-quality communications content, including press releases, pitch letters, Q&As, articles, speeches, commentaries and other materials.
- Media Relations: Secure targeted media placements through strategic media relations activities, including pitching stories, interview and event support and other efforts.
- Social Media Content Creation: Craft compelling social media content that engages target audiences and aligns with client brand voice and messaging.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong client relationships, managing day-to-day communications and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Daily Clips Support: Provide support for daily media monitoring and clip compilation.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in public relations, focusing on corporate communications and strategic planning
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to client service and problem-solving
- Strong writing and editing skills with experience in creating press releases; proficiency in AP style
- Proven media relations expertise with a successful track record of story pitching and media engagement
- Knowledge of social media best practices and experience developing social content
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and deadline-driven with exceptional attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
- Willingness to travel, if necessary, for client and media engagements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the automotive industry and prior experience in this sector
- Previous experience working in an agency environment
- Proficient in PR tools and software (e.g., Muck Rack, Cision)
