ASSYST is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst/Product Owner to join our client’s team in Austin, TX. This role is essential for bridging the gap between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that applications meet business needs and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in requirements gathering, business analysis, and product ownership in software applications, particularly within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct requirement-gathering sessions with stakeholders and translate business needs into actionable requirements.
- Create and maintain business requirement documents and user stories to ensure clarity among teams.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, aligning with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure effective communication.
- Coordinate and support systems testing, including Unit, Integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities and generate regular status reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- 15+ years of overall experience, including experience as a Business Analyst in software application development.
- 8+ years of experience in a Product Owner role, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- 8 years of experience on software application-related projects, preferably in the Health and Human Services domain.
- 8 years of experience with SQL for data analysis and reporting.
- 8 years of experience in systems testing (Unit, Integration, UAT).
- 4 years of experience in Agile Software Development Methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- 2 years of experience in Project and/or Product Management.
- 1 year of experience in Case Management systems.
- 1 year of experience using Jira for project management and agile reporting.
