The Electrical Controls Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical power and control systems for production equipment. This role involves installing and supporting PLC-based hardware and software.
Responsibilities:
- Design and update electrical control systems
- Apply knowledge of robotic and automated production processes
- Follow safety protocols (LOTO, arc-flash) when working with electrical equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment
- Install, support, and configure PLC-based systems
- Develop electrical designs, schematics, and BOMs; handle installation and debugging
- Write and update PLC programs
Qualifications:
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics
- Understand UL and NFPA codes
- Design electrical controls and safety circuits
- Work with 480V and lower-voltage systems
- Familiar with lean manufacturing practices
