Product Owner – Credit Card / Payments
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead our credit card and payments initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define and execute a product strategy that enhances customer journeys and drives business growth in the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy: Collaborate with the Product Owner to articulate the product vision, identify desirable features, and define a compelling product roadmap that sets us apart in the market.
- Product Planning and Prioritization: Own the product roadmap for specific capabilities and customer journeys, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of Analysts to document the roadmap, user stories, and features backlog using Jira or similar product management tools. Ensure the backlog is continuously updated to achieve objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Banking, Credit, Digital, and Technology teams to implement transformational processes and products within Lending Services.
- Technical Collaboration: Work closely with Digital Engineering, Experience Design, and Data teams to drive the product through stages of Concept, MVP, Testing, and Deployment. Ensure that data quality controls are identified and implemented.
- Scrum Partnership: Maintain oversight in collaboration with the technical project manager and Scrum Master, ensuring alignment with Agile methodologies.
- User Story Development: Create and validate acceptance criteria for user stories, holding regular meetings with the product team to update the product backlog.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that product features and processes comply with applicable standards for risk management and compliance.
- Performance Monitoring: Identify KPIs that demonstrate the performance of specific business areas and the technical effectiveness of the product. Establish mechanisms to monitor performance continuously, collect user feedback, and conduct external benchmarking for ideas, incorporating insights into the features backlog.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in product management, with a strong background in conceptualizing, building, and shipping digital products.
- 8+ years in financial services, specifically in cards and lending products.
- Experience in a fintech, startup, or growth-stage venture is preferred.
Methodology:
- Proven experience with Agile methodologies, preferably with certifications as a Scrum Master or Certified Product Owner.
