Pride Health is hiring a Travel Sterile Processing Technician to support our client’s medical facility based in Charleston, South Carolina. This contract opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Responsibilities:
- Perform decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards.
- Inspect, assemble, and prepare surgical instruments and procedural trays for sterilization, following aseptic techniques and proper labeling protocols.
- Operate and maintain sterilization and disinfecting equipment, documenting usage, and performing biological monitoring to ensure effectiveness and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, including documentation of failed biological monitoring, and ensure corrective actions are followed.
- Assist in the distribution of sterilized instruments and equipment to designated departments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery following hospital protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Successful completion of Central Sterile coursework
- Certification-Sterile processing
- Over 2 years of experience
- Level 1 trauma experience
Additional Information:
- Location: Charleston, South Carolina
- Job Type: Contract – 13 weeks
- Schedule: 3x12 hour – Nights – 07.00 pm to 07:30 am.
- Pay Range: $ 30.00 to 34.00/hour.$ 1,080.00 to 1,224.00 weekly
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
