Title: Data Scientist / Statistician
Location: Austin, TX
Description:
Advanced degree in Statistics, Statistical Analysis, Data Science, and/or Mathematics; Engineering or technical degree a plus
Experience in applied Statistics and/or Data Science, ideally within a consumer electronics or manufacturing industry
Experience with forecasting and predictive analysis for field failure, reliability, quality, safety (or combination thereof), Weibull analysis, time-in-field forecasting
Experience working with data analysis and visualization tools such as MiniTab, JMP, Tableau
Self-driven, motivated, and capable independent worker with experience working in cross-functional settings
Project management acumen and/or experience a big plus, to include schedule management and/or familiarity working within JIRA/Conflunece (Atlassian) suite
Track record or, and comfort with, communicating with cross-functional stakeholders and management, and producing data visualizations for their consumption
MS Excel, Apple Keynote, and statistical analysis tools (e.g. JMP, Posit, Minitab, SPSS, etc.)
Proficiency and attitude for Tableau suite of tools
Data visualization acumen, and the capacity to communicate nuances and conclusions effectively (written & verbal)
