A leading global Contract Manufacturing and Development Organization (CDMO) is seeking a skilled Senior Quality Control Metrologist to join their team in West Caldwell, NJ. This organization is renowned for delivering innovative oral, transdermal, and intradermal drug delivery systems that empower pharmaceutical partners worldwide.
The Senior Quality Control Metrologist will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory equipment. This role requires expertise in equipment calibration, qualification document preparation, and maintaining regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will work on-site in New Jersey and will be responsible for scheduling and performing equipment calibrations, particularly with GC and HPLC instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and execute calibrations and preventive maintenance of GC and HPLC instruments.
- Prepare qualification documents for new equipment installations.
- Revise and issue Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for laboratory instruments.
- Ensure timely calibration of all equipment in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Troubleshoot and repair GC and HPLC instruments, including replacing key components like pumps, flow cells, and lamps.
- Conduct daily and weekly checks on laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Metrologist.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of GC and HPLC instrumentation.
- Strong communication and technical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
