Job Opportunity: Computer Technician/Helpdesk
Location: Conway, SC
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
Pay: $20.00/hr
Job Overview:
We are seeking Computer Technicians to join our team in Conway. The technicians will assist with various technical tasks related to asset management, device configuration, and troubleshooting. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Agency’s IT department, ensuring that hardware and software systems are properly installed, configured, and maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with receiving device packages and validating contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Label and document assets using Agency processes for Asset Management.
- Track assets through the deployment process and install devices into Active Directory.
- Configure Agency devices, including installation of operating systems and software, and perform configuration testing.
- Install and troubleshoot systems at desk side, working within a networked environment.
- Provide technical support for system and device issues, collaborating with the support team and vendors.
- Follow Agency IT standards, policies, and procedures, while assisting in process improvement.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Windows 10
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
- Experience with System Imaging
Preferred Qualifications:
- A+ Certification
- MS System Center experience
- Familiarity with BMC Footprints
- Dell Tech Direct Certification
- Experience with Windows 10 Enterprise
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working under desks to install and troubleshoot devices.
