TRISTAR is seeking a DevOps Test Engineer for our government customer in Bloomington, IN
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented DevOps Test Engineer to join our team
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in server management, virtual infrastructure, and containerization technologies, with a focus on maintaining and troubleshooting systems in a disconnected environment
This role requires the ability to work on-site five days a week, troubleshooting physical and virtual infrastructure, and collaborate closely with development teams to ensure the smooth operation and testing of software
Position Responsibilities
Troubleshooting and Debugging: Diagnose and resolve issues with physical servers, switches, routers, and other network infrastructure
Troubleshoot and maintain VMWare or Hyper-V virtualized environments. Manage and configure virtual infrastructure leveraging VMWare or Hyper-V
Investigate and resolve issues with Docker containers
Deploy, install, and maintain Docker containers across multiple environments
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of containerized applications
Design, develop, maintain test suites to validate software functionality and performance
Conduct software testing on both physical and virtual environments to ensure product reliability
Collaborate with developers to address failed tests, system errors, and unmet requirements
Administer and maintain physical servers, ensuring smooth operation and security
Leverage automation tools such as Ansible to automate system configurations and deployments
Requirements:
Experience troubleshooting physical servers, network switches, routers, and other critical infrastructure
Familiarity with CISCO devices and Dell servers systems a plus
Administrative experience in setting up and maintaining servers
Hands-on experience with visualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
Proficiency in C# and .NET development environments, with the ability to debug and assist in software testing
Experience with Docker and containerized environments for deploying, installing, and troubleshooting applications
Familiarity with Ansible for configuration management and automated deployments
Strong understanding of testing methodologies, with experience creating and maintaining automated test suites
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and workflows
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in complex environments
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with developers and cross-functional teams
MUST be a US Citizen
Must have active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
Education and/or Certification
BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar area
Must obtain or be willing to obtain a CompTIA Security Plus certification
