Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing and Quality Engineer to join our team in Park City, UT. This role is vital in optimizing manufacturing processes and ensuring top-notch quality standards, with a strong focus on aerospace applications. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in machining environments, a deep understanding of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and expertise in quality control and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manufacturing Support: Provide technical expertise on large and medium-sized aerospace projects, ensuring critical objectives are met.
* Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve material process issues, evaluate out-of-flow material, and implement corrective actions.
* Process Improvement: Develop and refine manufacturing processes, including work instructions, control plans, and process flow diagrams (PFDs).
* Quality Assurance: Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with AS13100 and AS9145 standards.
* PPAP and FAI: Manage PPAP activities and First Article Inspections (FAI) to meet aerospace industry requirements.
* Design Evaluation: Evaluate and test designs to ensure they meet engineering principles and function as intended.
* Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to guide program manufacturing plans.
* Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance quality and efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial) or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on quality control.
* Proficiency in PPAP, PFMEA, PFDs, Control Plans, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
* Strong understanding of AS13100, AS9145, and aerospace manufacturing standards.
* Advanced skills in SAP, Excel, and technical writing.
* U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work.
Desired Qualifications:
* Experience in aerospace, heavy equipment, or automotive industries.
* Knowledge of CAD Modeling tools (NX, CATIA, CREO) and design for manufacturing concepts.
* Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and cost reduction strategies.
