The Director of Quality plays an integral role in upholding our clients commitment to top-tier product quality, reliability and performance. The Director drives initiatives that ensure product uniformity and reduce defects that improve operational efficiency.
This role also involves leading the verification of product performance, implementing, and sustaining quality systems, and ensuring swift response to global customers.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Global Quality Management and promote Quality Awareness • Understand AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) • Gage R & R (Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility – method to define the amount of variation in the measurement data)
- PPAP would be helpful for internal and external requirements. (Production Part Approval Process) SPC (Safe Practice Consultant) and Six Sigma certifications (Black Belt)
- Develop and drive product reliability programs.
- Build and Scale a Global Quality Team • Drive Advanced product quality planning in line (APQP)
- Work with factories to implement continuous improvements programs and zero-defect methodologies to drive Rolled Throughput Yield.
- Know quality systems, ISO, AS, IATF for example but not putting them in place only as an Auditor to understand best components of quality system to drive improvements.
- Manage and respond to customer complaints and field failures, overseeing thorough failure analysis reports and implementing corrective actions.
- Lead quality-related activities in new product development, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and conducting Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Mentor QA Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and provide guidance for professional development.
- Good understand of 8D problem solving.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree (Industrial Engineering preferred)
- Proficiency in CI tools and Methodologies
- CAD
- Strong understanding of Manufacturing Processes and Quality Management Systems
- Leading and Developing cross functional Teams
- Ability to Travel
