We have an Oil & Gas client looking for a Project Engineer to support a portfolio of Brownfield FPSO projects.

Main Functions
Manage a brownfield capital projects portfolio through early project planning, execution, handover to operations and closeout. Scope includes brownfield modification projects for Floating Storage Production Offloading facilities (FPSO) offshore Guyana.
Independently plan and execute in accordance with contract requirements and Project Objectives and engage required stakeholders and resources to complete the assigned scope.
Support portfolio-wide improvement initiatives and provide technical mentorship to early career professionals on the team
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Accountable for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and completion of assigned work scopes consistent with the Project Objectives
- Work proactively and productively with stakeholders (Business Unit, Construction, Business, Procurement) to ensure project alignment and objectives are met
- Work with the Guyana operations team, technical experts, and project teams in Houston and Bangalore
- Proactively manage issues, remove roadblocks, and take corrective action to ensure project completion occurs safely, on budget and on schedule
- Identify vulnerabilities and opportunities for improved performance and ensure Lessons Learned are effectively applied and captured
- Lead all required project reviews (HAZOPs, 3-D Model, Constructability etc.)
- Develop comprehensive Job Specifications for contractor Request for Proposal (RFP) Package, and review contractor’s proposals accordingly.
- Ensure smooth transitions between project stages, across sites and between key stakeholders by coordinating interfaces between components, stages and with other sites and scopes as needed and managing external interfaces with project stakeholders and other contractors
- Keep stakeholders appropriately informed and submit periodic updates concerning the status of engineering and contractor’s performance
- Accountable for development of Capital Project Management System Gate deliverables
- Stewards project issues resolution process
- Coordinates change requests & endorses change authorization
- Leads Project Management Team (PMT) in applying Project Management Systems
Skills & Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in engineering field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in offshore brownfield projects.
- Technical background and knowledge of offshore topsides facilities preferred
- Proven/ Demonstrated Formal Team Leadership
- Able to perform independently and cooperatively with other business functions
- Good command of English both written and spoken
- Strong MS Excel and presentation skills
- Strong influencing without authority, consulting, mentoring, analytical, proactive planning and computing skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely convey recommendations to management / leadership
- Willingness to relocate to the Houston, TX area
- Generally, be able to travel ~25% (one week per month)
- Willingness and ability to travel to Guyana, Netherlands, Monaco, Singapore, and/or India
- Fitness and ability to travel offshore by helicopter and reside in offshore accommodation for up to 4 weeks; must complete BOSIET w/ CA-EBS training within 3 months of hire date
