Lakeshore Talent is partnering with a client who is seeking a Contract Lease and Title Analyst for a prominent oil and gas company based in Denver, Colorado. This position is a 6-month contract role and could be extended, based in-office, with a pay rate of $48 to $56 per hour, depending on experience.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced lease and title analyst to join our fast-paced and dynamic land team. The role will be concentrated on data quality assurance with an emphasis on ensuring the accuracy of recently acquired asset integration. The Lease Analyst will be responsible for the review, set up, and maintenance of oil and gas leases and land contracts per acquisitions, drilling program, land calendars, incoming title and data quality projects.
Job Duties:
- Analyzes and interprets leases, deeds, agreements, title opinions, contracts, unit agreements and other ownership documentation to ensure data quality within Land management system.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies to help maintain a high level of data integrity.
- Exercise strong analytical skills to interpret chain of title and lease and contract provisions
- Independent research and other assigned special projects.
- Strong understanding of legal descriptions specifically metes and bounds, abstracts, surveys and parcels.
- Strong understanding of county records websites. ability to run title is a plus.
- Strong understanding of lease and contract payments and obligations.
- Liaise with other departmentsincluding Accounting, Land, and IT as well as landowners and government agencies.
- Support land with due diligence and other activities related to acquisitions and divestitures.
- Resolve and respond to owner relation inquiries directly related to Lease Records
- Generate various land reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with lease/land records. Barnett Shale/Texas experience is a plus.
- Deep understanding of oil and gas agreements.
- Strong analytical, math and communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, cross functional team environment.
- Strong Knowledge of Excel and Land Management systems, and a demonstrated ability to learn Land systems, Smartsheet and other company and industry-based systems.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects and obtain quality results in a performance driven environment.
- Self-starter with demonstrated problem solving skills and ownership initiative.
