Responsibilities:
- Forecast, plan, and purchase products to meet customer demand while optimizing costs, quality, and delivery times.
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
- Analyze product trends and turnover to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop and recommend vendor programs that increase profitability.
- Manage inventory levels and place orders for assigned vendors.
- Analyze sales data to identify slow-moving products and develop exit strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within a distribution or retail environment.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
