TITLE: Security Engineer - AWS, JavaScript, Node.js
LOCATION: On-Site in San Francisco, CA or Plano, TX
PAY: Target salary for this role is between 150-200K but may vary based on experience

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- This is an Experienced Security Engineer position
- Collaborating to implement security best practices
- Training the Engineering team and infusing a security first mentality
- Focusing on securing vulnerabilities and reducing risk of system and/or asset compromises
- Participating in design discussions and performing code reviews
- Auditing code and infrastructure for security vulnerabilities
- Supporting day-to-day monitoring of logs and alerts from firewalls, log management, intrusion detection systems, content filtering controls, etc.
- Analyzing and developing information security governance, including organizational policies, procedures, standards, baselines and guidelines with respect to information security
- Formulating recommendations consistent with directives, policies, standards and regulations
- Reporting possible threats or software issues and finding cost-effective solutions to these problems
- Opportunity to shape the culture around security – bring a consultative approach.
- Work closely with the Engineering teams to ensure the safety and security of software and data.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of experience as an application security engineer required
- 2+ years working in an AWS environment
- Good understanding of current security technologies
- Experience with application security testing software like Burp Suite
- Good understanding of JavaScript and Node.js
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, stellar work ethic, fun collaborator
- Experience working in a start-up organization is ideal but not required
- Previous work experience in the Blockchain/Web3 industry is ideal but not required
