Splunk Consultant
Full Time – Hybrid (3 days onsite) in Farmer's Branch, TX

We are seeking a skilled Splunk Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Splunk implementation, configuration, and optimization. They will work closely with clients to design, deploy, and manage Splunk environments that meet business and technical requirements. A strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and relevant certifications in Splunk are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Splunk infrastructure for clients, including indexers, search heads, forwarders, and deployment servers.
- Configure and optimize Splunk environments to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Develop and maintain Splunk dashboards, reports, alerts, and data models to meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and provide Splunk solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Splunk indexing, search performance, data ingestion, and parsing.
- Provide guidance on data onboarding, normalization, and extraction techniques to enhance data visibility and insights.
- Implement and adhere to SRE principles to improve system reliability, reduce manual work, and enhance monitoring capabilities.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for clients to help them leverage Splunk effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Splunk features, updates, and best practices and recommend improvements to existing implementations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise and/or Splunk Cloud.
- Proven experience in configuring and managing Splunk environments, including indexers, search heads, and forwarders.
- Strong understanding of search processing language (SPL) and the ability to create complex searches, reports, and dashboards.
- Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) or IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including monitoring, automation, incident management, and capacity planning.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Splunk Core Certified User
- Splunk Core Certified Power User
- Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin
- Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect
- Splunk Certified Developer
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or similar certifications related to SRE.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible, Terraform).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native technologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins).
