We are partnering with a manufacturing client to identify a seasoned Technical Writer with a strong background in documenting plant manufacturing processes and creating detailed operational procedure documents. This role involves developing instructional documents that include photos and cycle time data, with deliverables created in Excel and Word using existing templates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Observe operations at the client's manufacturing facility in Winter Garden, FL, on 10/24
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather and refine information for content development
- Create five (5) 1 to 2-page Operations Procedure Documents
Start Date: Early to mid-October
Duration & Hours: Estimated 45-60 hours through the end of the year, with potential for additional projects.
Location: Virtual with one onsite day (10/24) in Winter Garden, FL. The client is seeking a local resource.
Experience Required:
- Experience in Technical Writing, with a focus on manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience observing manufacturing processes and developing clear, concise procedural documentation.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and processes for easy understanding.
- Comfortable working on the factory floor and capturing cycle times.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF creation (must use own laptop and software licenses).
- Capable of working independently and effectively collaborating with SMEs.
- Experience or familiarity with Industrial Engineering is a plus but not required.

The pay range for this is $50.00 to $65.00 per hour. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
