Position Summary:
LEEF is looking to hire a Packaging Operations Manager to take complete ownership of our co-packing and white-label department. This individual will be based in Willits, California, and will be responsible for managing a team to consistently meet production deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in co-packing or white-label operations, fluency in Spanish, and the leadership skills to optimize workflows and solve challenges that impact productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all co-pack/white-label operations, ensuring timely delivery of orders and adherence to quality standards.
• Take full accountability for the department’s performance, driving team productivity and maintaining efficiency in all aspects of the operation.
• Identify obstacles that could delay production, propose solutions, and implement corrective measures to stay on track.
• Collaborate with internal teams (supply chain, logistics, and quality assurance) to ensure smooth operational flow and schedule adherence.
• Provide hands-on leadership to the team, managing performance, mentoring staff, and fostering a results-driven culture.
• Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to continually improve department efficiency and output.
• Ensure all operations meet regulatory requirements, particularly those related to the cannabis industry.
• Interface with clients to confirm product specifications and ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
• Ensure lab testing schedules and proper testing labs per project
• Prepare and coordinate all distributor shipments
• Responsible for overseeing BOMs (Ensure all supplies are accounted for prior to production date)
• Manage inventory levels and communicate with the consumables clerk
• Manage a team of 40+
• Oversee the ERP and batch records
• Must be fluent in Spanish, with the ability to manage bilingual teams effectively.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience managing co-packing or white-label operations, ideally within the cannabis, food, or beverage industries.
• Strong leadership skills, with a track record of successfully managing teams to meet or exceed production goals.
• Ability to quickly assess and resolve operational challenges while keeping production on track.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is preferred.
