ChristianaCare Hospital in Newark, DE is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our 3B General Medical Unit.
Unit
3B is a 32-bed inpatient General Medical Unit with Telemetry, which provides scheduled and emergent care/procedures on a 24-hour basis. The unit is designed to accommodate 32 patients who need inpatient care to treat their diagnosis. The patient population cared for in this area includes adult and geriatric patients. The conditions of patients cared for in this area can be described as fair and serious. The patients are received/transferred/admitted from home, the emergency department, physician's offices, and other units within the hospital setting. The scope of services on 3B encompasses a variety of diagnoses/testing including but not limited to:
- COPD exacerbation
- Pneumonia
- ETOH withdrawal
- Opioid withdrawal
- Nausea/vomiting/abdominal pain
- Altered mental status
- Osteomyelitis
- Back pain
- Diabetes management
- Cellulitis

Education & Experience Requirements:
- BSN preferred.
- ADNs required. Candidates are required to commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of hire date.
- RNs must have at least one year experience.
- RNs with 1-2 years in acute care or sub-acute care experience is preferred.
- BLS required.
