We are partnered with a great client who just invested a large sum into their facility, and they are in need of a Senior Principal Project Engineer. You will manage equipment engineering for large-scale capital projects within an aseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires collaboration with manufacturing plants and various internal departments. Key responsibilities include leading and developing equipment engineering teams, supporting major capital projects, and driving project success.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing capital expenditure plans and securing funding, including defining project scope, cost estimates, alternatives, timelines, and execution strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Managing all phases of the project, from initial scope and user requirements to conceptual design, detailed design, permitting, and installation. You will also oversee construction, support site acceptance tests and factory acceptance tests, and handle start-up, commissioning, validation, training, standard operating procedures, and project closeout.
- Evaluating design options and ensuring projects meet environmental, health, safety, and current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations, as well as state and federal codes.
- Building effective, collaborative relationships with various departments within the plant, global engineering teams, and local agencies.
- Applying excellent troubleshooting skills and implementing life cycle cost analysis as needed.
- Reading and interpreting SOPs to ensure compliance and keeping training up to date.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering is required.
- At least ten (10) years of experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role.
- Preferably, fifteen (15) years of experience in the bio/pharmaceutical manufacturing industry or a related field.
