Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced and driven Territory Manager to manage agent relationships, boost business growth, and ensure excellent service across the Phoenix Metro area and Northern Arizona. This role requires regular travel within the territory, with occasional overnight stays. You’ll play a critical role in strengthening partnerships with agents and expanding our presence in the state.
Key Responsibilities:
· Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with independent insurance agents within your territory
· Understand agent and customer needs, offering tailored solutions and responsive support
· Drive new business acquisition and policy retention through proactive sales efforts
· Identify and appoint new agents to expand our network
· Collaborate closely with internal teams, including management, underwriting, and claims, to streamline operations
· Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Zoho) to manage agent interactions and track sales performance
· Analyze market trends and performance data using Excel and Power BI to identify growth opportunities
· Provide training and workshops to enhance agents’ product knowledge and sales capabilities
· Represent Commonwealth Insurance at industry events, building brand awareness and expanding our market presence
Qualifications:
· Must have valid driver’s license
· Proven experience as a Territory Manager or in a similar role, preferably within personal lines insurance
· Strong track record of building and maintaining relationships with independent agents
· In-depth knowledge of the Arizona insurance market and regulatory environment
· Strong sales, communication, and negotiation skills with a focus on meeting business targets
· Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Zoho) and data analysis software (Excel, Power BI)
· Ability to analyze market data, identify opportunities, and contribute to strategic initiatives
· Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
