Job Description:
The ideal candidate has a strong graphic design portfolio. Your style and expertise should ideally be visible through your portfolio, but if you don’t have specific examples and need to be taught how to create a repeat textile, for example, that is fine! You are willing to take feedback and seek the best result for the business. A true collaborative artist, and a professional that can take on tasks with the team. Show up inspired and ready to create great designs. You are humble, professional and excited to jump in and help us tackle design needs for production.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 3+ year's experience designing apparel graphics, experience with socks a strong plus
- Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong Adobe Illustrator design abilities are a MUST.
- Eye for color nuances, tones, and saturation levels Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Exceptional self-management and accountability
ROLE DETAILS
- Available approximately 20-35 hours per month, as needed
- Develop repeats of prints or create placement prints from original art Scale variations of original artwork
- Apply knowledge of sock construction and design to new patterns for various sock silhouettes and collections
- Pantone selection for prints and patterns, updating artwork accordingly
- Assist merchants by creating templates for line sheets at the end of each season while also creating designs needed for production like socks, pad prints, etc
