Our client is a national Design/Build General Contractor located in Howell. They've been in business for over 70 years and focus on Industrial, Manufacturing and Commercial projects ranging from $15M - $40M.
They have a strong reputation across the state of Michigan and have a steady backlog heading into 2025 - with core repeat business. They are an employee owned company and their average employee tenure is 14 years.
They seek a Senior Project Manager, that will work closely on ground up construction projects regionally.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
- Interface with project owners, inspectors, contractors, architects, and engineers
- Negotiates revisions, changes, and additions with owners, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors for changes in scope of work
- Responsible for the management of the construction contract(s) and/or work orders.
- Collaborate with other Project Manager(s) in the office, as necessary.
- Collaborate and monitor Superintendent(s) performance on contracts and/or work orders.
- Develop and maintain good client relationships for expanded or new work opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a construction related field, preferred
- 8 years of construction project management experience with private project experience
- Familiarity with construction management software, Procore experience is a plus
- Thorough knowledge of submittals, RFI’s, and project close out procedures
- Knowledgeable of applicable OSHA safety requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi task
Compensation & Benefit Information:
- Salary between $110,000 - $130,000, dependent on experience
- Bonus (based on company/individual performance), circa 15%
