Core Relevant Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Expertise in industrial automation
- Proficiency in mechanical design and DFX, especially for sheet metal and machining
- Experience with robotics
- Ability to create 2D drawings and apply GD&T
- Knowledge of PLM systems
- Experience in sustaining engineering
In This Role, We Will Ask You To
- Collaborate with teams to design and test mechanical concepts for packaging, mechanisms, and parts, ensuring balance between functionality, aesthetics, form, and cost.
- Apply DFX principles to optimize designs for manufacturability, serviceability, and sustainability.
- Work effectively with clients and as a key team member on large projects.
- Communicate clearly with team members, senior management, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Approach projects with a positive, success-driven attitude, and stay updated on the latest product development, production techniques, and rapid-prototype methods.
- Estimate resource needs, monitor progress, and adjust allocations as necessary.
- Balance strategic planning with tactical execution.
- Resolve conflicts among resources and between clients and engineering teams.
- Stay informed about project progress, address emerging issues, and contribute to major problem resolutions.
- Maintain confidentiality of all privileged information.
- Be proficient in the latest version of SolidWorks CAD software.
- Travel as required (valid driver’s license and vehicle needed).
