Position: Buyer
Location: Hybrid (Beaverton, Oregon)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Pay: $65K-$75K DOE
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm

Job Description: The Buyer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing process, ensuring the timely acquisition of high-quality finished goods and services at competitive prices. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving efficiency in purchasing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and negotiate favorable terms.
- Manage supplier relationships, evaluating performance and ensuring adherence to contracts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including the Accounting and Sales teams.
- Oversee the purchase order process, from creation to delivery confirmation.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast future procurement requirements.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in purchasing.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in purchasing experience within wholesale or distribution, preferably in finished goods
- Background purchasing within a Retail environment.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics is a big plus, or a similar ERP software.
- Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and vlookups.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
