OB/GYN Surgery Director

Salary Range $375,000 to $425,000 plus incentives and sign-on bonus
Graduate of an accredited medical school, and completed a OB/GYN residency in a medical field required.
Job Overview:
The OB/GYN Surgery Director will be an active member of the team and will oversee clinical operations of the Medical Surgery Center. The Surgery Director will clinically manage all surgical subspecialties and will work with their administrative counterpart to administer and deliver clinical services as determined necessary. They will also work to develop a plan of development for the areas they serve. Deliveries not required.

Duties:
- Provide medical care and treatment as a physician at sites approved by the Board of Directors regardless of a patient’s ability to pay, including Medicaid, Medicare, and underinsured patients.
- Promptly prepare and maintain accurate records of services provided in the patient medical records in accordance with Clinical Policies and Procedures o JVCHC, all State and Federal laws, and any other recognized regulatory agency requirements.
- Make written/oral reports to the Leadership Team, as required, concerning clinical operations of the Surgery Center.
- Attend all required in-service training programs, staff meetings, and provider contract negotiations.
- Assist fellow clinicians as necessary to facilitate effective and timely health care to the patients of JVCHC.
- Develop, review and maintain written clinical policies and procedures..
- Assist in the recruitment of qualified physicians and other clinical staff.
- Develop and maintain written job performance evaluations for the medical personnel.
- Participate, as appropriate, in conjunction with the nurse manager, in the periodic review of practice management functions (e.g. reception, telephone triage, patient flow, laboratory, tracking systems, etc.)
- Advocate for the center and serve as a liaison to local hospitals, health departments, local health facilities, local and state professional societies, as well as, the health officials, organizations, and health training institutions as appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited medical school and completed a OBY/GYN residency in a medical field.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience managing major clinical activities in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other medical facility.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- State license to practice medicine; including prescriptive privileges.
- Current Missouri license to practice medicine.
- Current DEA number.
- Must be fully eligible to participate in federal, state, and private insurance plans.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Completion of an OB/GYN residency program.
