Position Overview:
We are looking for a Wholesale Manager with a proven track record of successfully selling women's fashion at the wholesale level to prominent big-box department stores. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a buyer for large department stores and possess the skills and network necessary to drive the wholesale business to new heights.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Wholesale Sales Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive wholesale sales strategy, identifying target big-box department stores and establishing relationships with key decision-makers.
- Build and Maintain Relationships: Leverage existing industry contacts and establish new connections within the big-box retail sector to secure purchase orders and distribution agreements.
- Negotiate and Close Deals: Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and agreements with potential retail partners to maximize profitability and brand exposure.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences to make data-driven decisions and adapt the wholesale strategy accordingly.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the design, production, and marketing teams to ensure product offerings align with market demand and customer expectations.
- Budget Management: Manage and allocate resources effectively, including budgets, expenses, and sales targets.
Qualifications:
- Proven Track Record: Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in selling women's fashion at the wholesale level to big-box department stores.
- Retail Buyer Experience: Previous experience as a buyer for large department stores is highly desirable.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the women's fashion industry, trends, and market dynamics.
- Network: Established network and relationships within the big-box retail sector, including key contacts at major department stores.
- Negotiation Skills: Exceptional negotiation and communication skills to secure favorable deals.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and execute a strategic vision for the wholesale division.
- Results-Driven: Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.
- Must have 5 years’ experience in a wholesale role
