MAU is hiring a Staff Accountant for Rinnai in Peachtree City, GA. As a Staff Accountant, you will be an accounting resource for the Finance, Manager, Consolidations. This position is primarily responsible for month-end closing activities, account reconciliations, and account analysis. The position is also responsible for month-end reporting and internal and external audit requests. This is a direct-hire opportunity with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.

Shift Information:
- Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- 3 days working from home
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- 2+ years of experience in a corporate accounting environment
- Strong understanding of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

Essential Functions:
- Complete monthly closing activities according to the month-end timeline
- Calculate, prepare, and post journal entries with supporting documentation
- Accurately assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Efficiently maintain and update reports used for monthly and quarterly reporting using Syteline/CSI, data warehouse, and Oracle FCCS
- Support the preparation of consolidated monthly and quarterly reporting to Rinnai Japan as required
- Prepare and present monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting documentation
- Work with FP&A on annual budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analysis
- Support internal controls evaluations, JSOX compliance, risk assessments, and reviews of risk areas
- Participate in quarterly balance sheet reviews and finance team meetings
- Provide necessary support during external audits by preparing audit schedules and analysis
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork
- Ensure compliance with company policies and provide financial support to other departments
Supervisory Responsibility:
- This position has no direct supervisory duties.
