We have a wonderful opportunity for an embedded hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) software engineer with one of the world's leading automotive manufacturers.
The Hardware in the Loop (HIL) Software Engineer supports the product development and system integration processes by developing test procedures for automated execution, implementing tests using Hardware in the Loop equipment, documenting and reviewing execution reports, reporting incidents, and tracking software updates to fix issues. The HIL Engineer develops expertise in software test design and has advanced knowledge in vehicle functional partitioning, electrical and communication architectures, embedded software processes, and the Global Product Development System.
This role requires close collaboration with feature owners, engineering, and suppliers to develop a strong understanding of the vehicle functions and implement appropriate test design strategies for early identification of defects and to provide evidence of defect elimination.
Pay range (depending on experience and level): $38.00-$42.00 per hour. Benefits are offered, and for those who require it, sponsorship may be available.
This role is on-site in Dearborn, Michigan.
Please note, we cannot work on C2C basis.
At least 4+ years of experience required with:
- Automotive software development and validations.
- Python language, along with Embedded C or C++.
- CAN messaging tools (CAN, VectorCAN).
- dSPACE control and automation desk software is required.
- ADAS/DAT feature testing support is a must.
- Software development life cycle.
- Utilizing software testing or quality assurance methodologies.
- Validation support of dSPACE or NI HIL simulators.
- Distributed feature testing experience.
- Matlab/Simulink control models development experience.
- CMMI and Agile process experience.
