Job Title: Senior Process Controls Engineer
Location: Mobile, AL (Travel: 1 week per month, all expenses paid)
Pay Rate: $145,000 - $197,000

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, specification, configuration, and graphic design of DCS systems, with a focus on Emerson DeltaV and/or Siemens PCS 7.
- Develop system configurations from scratch, ensuring optimal performance for projects of varying sizes (50 IO to 5000 IO systems).
- Provide hands-on expertise during the commissioning and startup phases of projects, with a strong emphasis on field experience.
- Generate cost estimates for process controls, including instrument selection, installation, control system configuration, commissioning, and startup.
- Utilize your deep knowledge of communication protocols (HART, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Modbus TCP) to enhance system efficiency.
- Work with remote I/O concepts, including CHARMS and ET200SP HA, ensuring seamless integration with control systems.
- Interpret and develop instrumentation loop sheets, electrical motor schematics, and P&ID drawings with precision.
- Act as a DCS lead-engineer on large, multi-discipline projects, collaborating closely with project teams.
- Maintain a working knowledge of field instrumentation, including IO design and electrical connections to automation systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in a senior-level process controls role.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV and/or Siemens PCS 7 systems.
- Proficient in communication protocols such as HART, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and Modbus TCP.
- Strong field experience, particularly in commissioning and startup within chemical plant environments.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a project team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working on batch production systems.
- Familiarity with safety systems (SIS) and IEC61511 code requirements.
