Lead Voice Engineer
Hybrid in Atlanta, GA (2-days a week onsite)
3-Month Contract-to-Hire
Our client is looking to add a Lead Voice Engineer to have a significant impact on the networking team of the organization by overseeing the configuration, administration, and enhancement of Cisco voice and telecom solutions. This person will Design, implement, and maintain moderately and highly complex telecommunications infrastructure for the enterprise. Responsible for day-to-day support as well as after hours support in an on-call rotation with focus on new implementations, pro-active monitoring and problem resolution.
What You Will Be Doing
- Responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and upkeep of Cisco voice applications, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection, and others.
- Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and configuration of voice gateways, routers, switches, and additional network devices.
- Provide support to telecom infrastructure initiatives in the areas of Cisco Call Manager, voicemail, video conferencing and web conferencing.
- Updating telecom documentation including written narrative and Visio diagrams.
- Supervise voice and telecommunications-related projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
- Five (5) years of experience designing, implementing, managing voice and telecommunications solutions for Cisco video conferencing equipment, and voice/data equipment, including current versions of Cisco Call Manager is required.
- Cisco Collaboration, CCNA Voice, and CCNP Voice/Collaboration certifications required.
- QoS, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and Cisco Voice Gateways expertise.
- Proficient in SIP and H.323, as well as VoIP protocols.
