The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and support to the sales team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of sales dynamics, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable strategies. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data related to sales performances such as revenue, margins, and profitability.
- Provide detailed variance and trend analysis between actual, forecast, and budget data.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop annual sales budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Provide regular updates and re-forecasts based on market conditions and internal initiatives.
Reporting:
- Create comprehensive financial reports and dashboards for sales metrics.
- Develop and distribute periodic sales performance reports to key stakeholders, including senior management.
Sales Strategy Support:
- Provide financial insights and data-driven recommendations to support sales strategies.
- Analyze the financial impact of new sales initiatives and product launches.
Cost Management:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support the implementation of efficiency programs.
- Monitor expenses related to sales activities to ensure budget adherence.
Business Partnering:
- Act as a financial advisor to the sales team, assisting with pricing strategies, contract reviews, and customer negotiations.
- Foster strong working relationships across departments, ensuring alignment towards common financial goals.
Ad hoc Analysis and Projects:
- Lead and participate in special projects and analysis as required.
- Assist with system enhancements and other initiatives to streamline and improve financial processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, with at least 2 years supporting sales teams.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
