We are delighted to share with you the exciting retained Chief Financial Officer search we are conducting for Westminster Pet Products (“WPP” www.westminsterpet.com). Based in Cumberland, RI, our Client is a leading developer and marketer of pet products. WPP supplies retailers throughout the US with over 600 products consisting of premium quality treats, chews, training pads, grooming tools, toys, collars, and leashes.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will serve as a forward-looking, strategic, and tactical business partner charged with supporting and driving WPP’s aggressive growth plan. Key priorities include:
- Work side by side as a partner to the CEO to build out this high-growth private equity roll-up.
- Lead all the strategic and day-to-day aspects of finance, accounting, and IT.
- Provide analytical insight and perspective to the CEO and Board.
- Develop/implement business plans and financial/strategic planning to drive the business. This will include organic growth, new channels, new product lines, cost rationalization, integrations, partnerships, development projects, and M&A.
- Oversee a team of three direct reports and eight total professionals.
The successful candidate will bring:
- A minimum of ten years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in a closely held manufacturing and distribution environment.
- Senior finance experience across multiple areas, including accounting, management reporting, FP&A, budgeting and forecasting, and financial operations (or equivalent).
- Previous experience interfacing directly with a Board, private equity firm, and/or CEO, and preparing/presenting financial information is strongly preferred.
- Experience with or capable of driving post-acquisition operational and financial integration strategy.
- Experience in supply chain or global sourcing is a plus.
