Descriptions:
As a Renewal Analyst for the Life and Disability team, you will be responsible for upholding GBS Benefits exception, reputation, delivering extraordinary customer experience and driving operational excellence. They will be required to execute and deliver on metrics and objectives as outlined by their manager. Additionally, you will be supporting GBS Consultants and brokers in delivering timely and accurate benefit renewal information, analytics reports and decision support to employer clients in a dynamic environment.
Duties & Responsibility:
- Manage the editing and preparing of product renewal spreadsheets in Excel
- Be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment; you must be driven to succeed and willing to strive to be the best. You must bring a high level of energy and be committed to assisting clients, brokers, account managers, and administrative support
- Ability to assist with new business and manage renewals of current business
- Manage relationships in a manner acceptable to others inside and outside of the organization
- Manage renewal process for clients by requesting information from carriers, including but not limited to: current bills, censuses, rates and summaries
- Lead fully insured quoting process for employer clients of various sizes and industries
- Work closely with carrier partners to gather employer benefit options and pricing
- Support brokers and client managers in analysis and review of benefit options
- Reviews and analyzes Benefit Summaries and Sold Proposals for correctness
- Possess/acquire knowledge of the local insurance marketplace and carriers
Skills, Knowledge, and Performance Expectations:
- Experience with a PC, proficient in MS Office, and Internet is a must- including Excel and Powerpoint
- Expert ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English including the ability to provide clear, feedback to team members.
- Expert ability to work under demanding time constraints and expectations
- Expert project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities

- Strong ability to leverage industry knowledge, analytical thinking, and technical data skills to analyze data and respond to client questions

Working Conditions / Essential Functions:
- This position enjoys the benefits and climate control of a quiet office environment. Employees are provided with ergonomically sound workspaces. Work is accomplished at a computer terminal either sitting or standing. Employees must access, input and retrieve information from the computer system. Comfort and efficiency are considered in employee workspaces. Daily work includes computer interfacing, data entry, communications (electronic and physical), movement throughout the office, attending meetings, etc.
- Physical demands include the ability to lift and move objects (typically 0 – 10 lbs), visually monitor information/data on a computer screen
