We are seeking a full-time Senior Associate in the Data Analytics division for our Buckhead, Atlanta Office.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and understand data-driven problems in the context of litigation support, restructuring, due diligence, and other business areas.
- Work closely with B. Riley’s testifying experts to develop strategies for successful outcomes for our clients.
- Utilize various data sources (unstructured and structured) and employ programming to clean, transform, and organize information.
- Take complex topics/analyses and synthesize them into digestible information to be understood by people with little to no analytics knowledge.
- Manage B. Riley’s internal databases of confidential client information.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering)
- Prefer 1-3 years of experience in a quantitative field.
- Strong programming skills in at least Python and SQL.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with an abiding curiosity.
- Ability to visualize, transform and analyze data to reveal undetected patterns and insights along with a firm grasp of general programming and data analytics paradigms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of Finance or Accounting preferred.
- Knowledge of additional languages (i.e., R, SAS, STATA, etc.) is a plus
- The ability to process and manage large datasets of potentially sensitive information.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
