KEY REQUIREMENTS: Based in-office in North Scottsdale, Arizona, the Group CFO will need to demonstrate LEADERSHIP, ability to make BUSINESS DECISIONS beyond just accounting decisions. This is not just an accounting position. This is a C-suite position which requires DECISIVENESS and RISK-TAKING IN DECISION-MAKING. The CFO will need to lead teams and be clear about his/her goals, his/her standards and his/her NON-NEGOTIABLE STANDARDS on behalf of the Company.
This is an IN-OFFICE position in North Scottsdale, AZ (NO REMOTE; NO RELO).

MINIMUM SKILLSET: The CFO will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the fund and its portfolio companies and subsidiaries, including consolidated financial statements, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, audit, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, internal controls, SEC regulations & filings, initial public offerings (IPO) and public company reporting, financial analyst calls, investor relations, and investor reporting. This position requires a certified public accountant (CPA) with a strong background in financial management and a proven track record in a public company environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership and Strategy:
Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to support the fund's growth objectives and long-term financial planning.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting at the fund and subsidiary levels.
Consolidated Financial Statements:
Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
FP&A and Budgeting:
Lead the FP&A function, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Collaborate with subsidiaries' financial heads or third party accountants to develop and manage annual budgets and financial plans.
Audit and SOX Compliance:
Manage the external audit process and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
Implement and maintain effective internal controls at the subsidiaries' level to safeguard the fund's assets and ensure financial accuracy.
SEC Regulations and IPO/Public Company Reporting:
Ensure compliance with all SEC regulations and reporting requirements.
Oversee the preparation and filing of all required SEC reports, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
Lead the financial aspects of the IPO process, including due diligence, financial disclosures, and investor presentations.
Investor Relations and Reporting:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.
Lead financial analyst calls and provide transparent and accurate communication of the fund's financial performance.
Prepare and present investor reports, including quarterly earnings releases and investor presentations.
Internal Controls:
Establish and maintain effective internal control systems to ensure compliance with financial and operational policies.
Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of internal controls and implement improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
CPA certification required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial management role, with a focus on consolidated financial statements, FP&A, budgeting, audit, SOX compliance, internal controls, and SEC regulations.
Proven experience with IPOs and public company reporting.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
