Role: Mechanical Technician
Duration: 4 months (plus possible extension, possible contract to hire)
Shift: Must be open to working 12 hour shifts, multiple days--different shifts are available
Rate: $40-50/hr
Location: Elk Grove Village, IL
Must Haves
- 3+ years of experience working with mechanical systems
- Experience with mechanical systems in a high availability assembly / critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Able to work a flexible work schedule which could include 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3, 4, or 5 day work weeks
- Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Plusses
- Previous datacenter experience a plus
- EPA Refrigerant License
Day to Day
- Provides necessary escort to third-party contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, and service providers on site
- Works on tasks (e.g., making rounds, initial assessments on equipment performance) as assigned with supervision
- Perform basic monitoring of the performance of maintenance and operations of equipment (e.g., electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety) within the data center with supervision
Compensation:
$40 to 50/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
