Our client in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Safety Manager to be responsible for administering project safety programs to maintain a safe and healthy work environment at a construction site for an expansive manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:
- Perform frequent safety audits of all work areas.
- Provide safety expertise in response to all identified deficiencies and requests for safety assistance.
- Prepare safety reports, lead safety briefings, serve as the company spokesperson on safety matters, and address all safety-related questions and concerns.
- Resolve all safety issues and coordinate emergency response as needed.
- Develop and implement safety program elements to comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Perform investigations of all injury and loss incidents, identify all causal factors, develop and implement measures to prevent recurrence, and follow up to ensure long-term resolution.
- Conduct safety training, testing, and record keeping for all employees (HazCom, Fall Protection, Energized Electrical Work, Lockout/Tag out, etc.)
- Coordinate with company management team and customer agencies to ensure all safety requirements are identified, communicated to employees, and fulfilled.
- Manage the safety program budget, planning, acquiring, controlling, and distributing all safety equipment, supplies, and training aids.
Skills and Experience:
- CPR – First Aid Certification
- OSHA 510 Certification Required
- Safety construction experience
- Construction Phase experience
- Electrical Industry Experience
- Ability to recognize hazardous situations & recommend corrective measures is essential
- Thorough understanding of all federal, state and local regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities, with attention to detail and task tracking
- Skilled in prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities
- Capable of working under time constraints and adapting to evolving requirements with a proactive approach
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees
Working Conditions:
- General construction/work environment – sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted in both indoor and outdoor settings. Environmental conditions will vary.
