Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Conduct site investigations, soil sampling, and laboratory testing to assess soil properties and conditions.
- Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, including analysis and recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, and earth retention systems.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Oversee fieldwork, including drilling, sampling, and in-situ testing.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations.
- Utilize remote collaboration tools to effectively manage and communicate with team members and clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, and foundation design.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, GeoStudio, PLAXIS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- Experience with remote work and virtual collaboration tools is a plus.
