Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Investigations Analyst specializing in Employee Relations Investigations to join their team, a leading national retailer. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into employee relations matters, ensuring adherence to company policies and employment laws. This position reports directly to the Investigations Manager and offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to a positive workplace environment through fair and judicious handling of employee concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct approximately 20 or more employee relations investigations per week for a large national retail company, ensuring all cases are handled promptly and with sensitivity.
- Gather and analyze evidence through interviews, documentation review, and other investigative techniques to reach factual conclusions.
- Document investigation findings, maintain detailed records, and prepare comprehensive investigative reports.
- Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, Legal, and other stakeholders to advise on appropriate resolutions and actions based on investigation outcomes.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to management regarding corrective and preventive actions to address employee relations issues.
- Ensure confidentiality and integrity throughout the investigation process, maintaining strict adherence to legal and ethical standards.
- Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure investigations are conducted in compliance with current standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum of 3 years of experience specifically conducting employee relations investigations within a corporate environment.
Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload, conducting at least 10 investigations per week.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with a focus on handling sensitive and confidential information.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and make reasoned decisions.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience in drafting detailed investigative reports.
Ability to maintain impartiality, objectivity, and fairness throughout the investigation process.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and other investigative tools is preferred.
HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP are advantageous.
