Position Overview: In the role of Import Specialist Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing ocean import activities and domestic trucking operations. This includes organizing pickups and deliveries, managing bookings and orders, processing payments for carriers, tracking shipments, preparing month-end inventory reports, and ensuring the timely clearance of shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee ocean import and domestic truck shipments
- Coordinate collection and delivery arrangements with relevant parties
- Efficiently manage orders and bookings
- Accurately process payments to carriers
- Monitor and trace shipments
- Prepare month-end inventory summaries
- Ensure shipments are released on time
- Perform additional duties as required to maintain service standards
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Strong knowledge of INCO Terms
- Solid technical aptitude
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective in time management and prioritization
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Capable of multitasking while adhering to customer specifications
- Previous experience in a dynamic work environment
Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in import logistics
Education:
- At least 2 years of college education, technical certification, or equivalent work experience
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Windows OS and the Microsoft Office suite
Language Requirements:
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
