Compliance Project Coordinator
Contract Duration: Until 10/31/2025 with a high possibility of extension
Location: Reporting to any service center in Michigan
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)
Job Description
As a Compliance Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in scheduling, monitoring, and analyzing distribution leak surveys, as well as managing open gas leaks—both above and below ground. Your responsibilities will include:
- Scheduling and Maintenance: Review and validate leak survey schedules, ensuring inspections and repairs are conducted in compliance with the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) Gas Code and Consumers Energy standards.
- Data Management: Prepare and enter leak survey maps and history into Inspection Manager, ensuring high accuracy in data entry.
- Regulatory Compliance: Create C1 Notifications for compliance Non-Leak Maintenance, track through to repair completion, and manage leak classifications.
- Collaboration: Partner with Scheduling and Operations teams to maintain compliance, manage contractor schedules, and ensure all leak surveys remain compliant.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate and develop processes for continuous improvement, providing reports and technical support to stakeholders as needed.
- Data Analysis: Utilize BI reporting tools to conduct leak data analysis, ensuring the integrity and quality of the information provided.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience in gas distribution or service utility-related fields (preferred but not required).
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel for data analysis is required. Familiarity with SAP and SIMS is beneficial; experience with Power BI and GIS, and Inspection Manager is advantageous.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and customers at all levels, fostering a positive team dynamic.
- Self-Starter: Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, particularly in data entry and compliance processes.
