Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Asset Management Specialist to support our Active Directory to cloud migration project and assist in implementing the COBIT Framework for Asset Management. The role will involve tracking and managing IT software and hardware assets, collaborating with multiple departments, and ensuring compliance with IT policies. The ideal candidate will have experience in asset management, IT ticketing systems, and IT auditing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the Active Directory to cloud migration and implement the COBIT Framework for Asset Management.
- Tag and track newly procured IT software and hardware within the asset tracking system.
- Handle IT work requests and issues in an IT ticketing system (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow, Remedy).
- Collaborate with the Financial and Admin Services department to audit IT assets.
- Ensure compliance with the IT Disposal policy for End of Life and damaged assets.
- Create and maintain Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports for IT’s asset inventory.
- Assign IT software and hardware to employees and consultants in coordination with the IT Helpdesk.
- Image and deploy laptops and desktops for users.
- Manage loaner laptops and other equipment through the IT ticketing system.
- Follow ITIL processes and assist in improving asset management workflows.
Required Technical Skills and Work Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in IT asset management, including tracking IT fixed and controlled assets.
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience with ticketing systems and asset management tools.
- Hands-on experience working with users for training and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience in vendor management and resolving technical issues.
- Experience with creating documentation for internal and external use.
- Experience with IT asset management systems (e.g., KACE, ServiceNow).
- Proficient in working with IT ticketing systems for tracking issues and work requests.
- Strong understanding of IT asset management processes and best practices.
- Experience with Windows 10 imaging and deployment.
Preferred Skills:
- ITIL and IAITAM certifications are a plus.
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to adopt new technology solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
