Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Retail Tenant Relations Manager to develop and manage partnerships with key tenants in target markets. The successful candidate will leverage their market expertise to identify acquisition opportunities, support site selection, and negotiate leasing terms that benefit all parties. You’ll work closely with the acquisitions team to align real estate deals with tenant expansion strategies, providing valuable market insights to guide decision-making.
This role requires someone with strong communication, relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to navigate complex real estate markets. Regular travel will be part of the job to engage with tenants and explore potential property opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Tenant Relationship Management: Cultivate and sustain strong working relationships with tenants in key markets to ensure their real estate needs are met.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct in-depth analysis of tenant operations and market conditions to identify expansion opportunities and potential acquisitions.
- Property Matching: Collaborate with the acquisitions team to identify properties that match the needs and growth strategies of prospective tenants.
- Site Selection Consultation: Work with tenants to determine optimal locations for new stores or relocations.
- Lease Negotiations: Lead discussions with landlords to secure favorable lease terms for both tenants and the firm.
- Data-Driven Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports on market activity, tenant interactions, and property opportunities for internal teams.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with internal teams such as acquisitions, legal, and property management to execute tenant-related strategies seamlessly.
- Issue Resolution: Address tenant concerns promptly, offering solutions that support long-term relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Tenant Representative Broker or in tenant real estate management.
- Strong industry contacts and the ability to leverage existing relationships to drive opportunities.
- Familiarity with the retail real estate market and tenant expansion strategies.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and data to guide decision-making.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage priorities and work independently.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
